Ingrid Kopp

Ingrid Kopp is co-founder and co-director of Electric South, a non-profit company in South Africa that provides mentorship, production services, funding, distribution and exhibition for a network of multidisciplinary artists across Africa, supporting their work in immersive, interactive storytelling using virtual and augmented reality, and other digital media.

Ingrid is a co-creator of Immersive Africa, a group of organizations and individuals working across the continent to grow a network of support for creative technology explorations in Africa.

Previously, Ingrid held the position of Director of Interactive at the Tribeca Film Institute, supporting interactive, cross-platform projects through the TFI New Media Fund and the TAA Interactive Prototype Fund. She created Tribeca Hacks and TFI Interactive to create a space for story+tech+design experiments and conversation.

Ingrid has served on a number of programming committees and as jury member for a host of festivals, including the Sundance Institute (World Cinema), IDFA (DocLab), CPH:DOX (CPH:LAB) as well as an adviser on the Sundance Creative Producing Lab.
